Usage of Nozzle Adjustment
Conventional guide slides are often employed for simple nozzle adjustments. Standard slides are assembled, and a nozzle is mounted on them. However, this approach does not take into account the harsh working environment in laser cladding. The facility and its surroundings become highly contaminated with powder. This powder accumulates in the gaps of the guide slides, making them increasingly difficult to move. This aspect was considered in the development of the new nozzle adjustment. As a result, an adjustment that is dustproof has been created. Exclusively round and easily sealable guides were used for this purpose. Standard slides were omitted.
Off-Axis
The nozzle adjustment can be connected to any optic through a custom flange.
Contamination
The nozzle adjustment is not equipped with standard slides since they cannot be mounted in a dustproof manner. A concept was chosen where sealing can be realized. All adjustment paths are protected against contamination or powder dust through seals.
